Partnerships

The Health & Community Design Lab collaborates on projects and initiatives with a range of partners in academic, government, non-profit, and private sectors.

Health & Community Design Collaborative

The purpose of the Health & Community Design Collaborative (HCDC) is to enable, support, and maintain the development of healthy, low-carbon and equitable communities across British Columbia’s Lower Mainland.

The HCDC’s members include staff representatives from:

  • Fraser Health Authority
  • Metro Vancouver
  • Provincial Health Services Authority
  • TransLink
  • UBC’s Health & Community Design Lab (formerly Active Transportation Collaboratory)
  • Vancouver Coastal Health

Objectives of the HCDC:

Objective 1. Encourage the development of multi-scale tools and policies around healthy, sustainable land use and transportation planning.

Objective 2. Enable knowledge translation and exchange between cross-disciplinary stakeholders.

Objective 3. Identify opportunities, constraints, and gaps within related and pertinent research, practice and resources and provide support for collaborative work and projects.
